Today Gartner has published the latest version of the Magic Quadrant for Data Center Backup & Recovery Solutions. For those responsible for data, this MQ is the definitive overview of a particular portion of the IT market – in this case, Commvault’s core expertise.

This report provides invaluable information if you are:

  • Modernizing your on-premises infrastructure;
  • Moving to the public cloud, or multiple public clouds;
  • Consolidating your data protection vendors;
  • Concerned with ransomware; and/or
  • Looking at Big Data projects and/or analytics.

If you are a Gartner client, you can now view the 2017 MQ report and graphic to learn all the details on the Gartner website. If you are not a Gartner client, then you can count on Commvault to share the full report with you later this week. Also available will be the Gartner Critical Capabilities Report, which is a complement to the MQ – both documents are an invaluable source of information about how Commvault and our peer competitors stack up in the data center backup and recovery space.

While most people focus solely on the MQ diagram, the full reports are where you can really get Gartner’s insight into our market space – look for informative webinars and blogs in the coming weeks.

At Commvault, we believe our leadership comes from having the most robust data protection support for clouds, hypervisors, big data and databases – more so than any competitor – and the broadest coverage of hardware snapshots, all while offering the industry’s most innovative solutions with the most flexible pricing options. Plus we can do all of that at scale and with no vendor lock-in.

But don’t just believe me, read the Gartner reports for yourself.
